Custom Project Services
We can help manage the quarrying, fabrication and production of the stone your project needs. Over the years, we have worked closely with our contractors and fully understand the importance of accurate estimates. We can help calculate realistic quantity, costing, and time tables for your project. We’ll even handle the logistics for delivery. Many of the projects we have worked on operated under LEED directives. StoneNW resolutely supports initiatives that promote the preservation and careful management of our natural resources, and we are happy to help incorporate those standards into any project.
This project prominently features Camas Gray basalt that has been hewn into our popular Square & Rec pattern. Camas Grey is quarried just outside or Portland, Oregon and is a staple building material throughout the Columbia River basin. This handsome gray stone with its subtle lavender hue makes a great backdrop for the dramtic and sculptural bronze columns, which make an excellent resting place for weary feet. Windswept boulders provide a subdued accent throughout.
Esther Short Park
Esther Short Park, designed by the late Bob Murasi, is one of the initial projects in the revitalization of downtown Vancouver. The unique design welcomes the public to relax and play in the water feature on hot summer days. The fabrication techniques used on the column rock creates a striking visual sculpture year round. The columns are used in innovative ways throughout the project. The project features a Montana ledgestone used for a full veneer in the central clock tower and fabricated Bronze Columns for the benches and bollards.
Oregon City, Oregon
In the heart of downtown Lake Oswego, Millennium Park has become the spot for concerts, coffee and confections of every kind. This central hub of activity also ties together local shops and stores, creating a pleasant community atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Millennium park was built out of our Columbia River Basalt which specially cut to make installation easy for the stone mason. The caps for the walls, stairs, and treads at an imported granite which very nicely accents the tone and texture.
Allison Inn & Spa
Tucked into the Willamette Valley’s premium wine growing region, the Allison Inn & Spa boasts 85 luxurious guest rooms, beautiful gardens, and breathtaking landscape that sprawl over 35 acres. The peaceful atmosphere creates a relaxing and restful setting for guests. The Sandstone veneer featured here helped the architects achieve an organic feel and ground the building to the site. This project also features a beatuiful black granite for treads throughout the winding gardens and patios, and three stiking water fountains as well.
Nike World Campus
The waterwall installed at the Nike Campus is an inspired piece of architecture. The large blocks of Pine Creek were carefully placed to produce an assertive cascade of water without being too aggressive. As a person walks the length of the water wall, the sounds of the falls invigorate and refreshes.
